O projeto Educação Doutoral em Portugal: Que Futuro? analisa a evolução dos programas de doutoramento no ensino superior português, identificando mudanças, desafios e oportunidades.
Nas últimas duas décadas, a oferta cresce e diversifica-se, concentrando-se sobretudo no setor público e nos grandes centros urbanos. A investigação original mantém-se como elemento central da formação doutoral, sendo cada vez mais valorizada a integração de investigação fundamental, aplicada e híbrida. O estudo sublinha a importância de reforçar a articulação entre programas de doutoramento e unidades de investigação, promovendo práticas pedagógicas diversificadas e alinhadas com as necessidades dos diferentes públicos.
The project Doctoral Education in Portugal: What Future? analyzes the evolution of doctoral programs in Portuguese higher education, identifying changes, challenges, and opportunities.
Over the last two decades, the range of programs on offer has grown and diversified, concentrating mainly in the public sector and large urban centers. Original research remains a central element of doctoral training, with the integration of fundamental, applied, and hybrid research being increasingly valued. The study highlights the importance of strengthening the link between doctoral programs and research units, promoting diversified teaching practices aligned with the needs of different audiences.

O relatório O Estado da Nação e Políticas Públicas, iniciativa do IPPS-Iscte, visa promover uma discussão mais qualificada sobre as intervenções públicas que influenciam o desenvolvimento estrutural do país.
A atual edição analisa os desafios da governação multinível em Portugal e está organizada em duas partes: a primeira aborda as condições políticas, sociais e institucionais do processo de descentralização; a segunda reflete sobre os desafios deste processo e sobre como os instrumentos de política procuram responder ao diagnóstico traçado.
The State of the Nation and Public Policy report, an initiative of IPPS-Iscte, aims to promote a more informed discussion on public interventions that influence the country's structural development.
The current edition analyzes the challenges of multilevel governance in Portugal and is organized into two parts: the first addresses the political, social, and institutional conditions of the decentralization process; the second reflects on the challenges of this process and how policy instruments seek to respond to the diagnosis outlined.

Este relatório dá conhecer os hábitos dos portugueses na utilização das redes sociais, as redes que conhecem, as que mais utilizam, as funcionalidades que mais valorizam, a frequência com que acedem e com que publicam informação, assim como, o tempo que lhes dedicam ou os equipamentos que utilizam para lhes aceder.
O estudo aprofunda também a relação que os portugueses estabelecem com as marcas e as empresas presentes nestas plataformas (que motivações têm, interações que mantêm, opinião sobre a presença das marcas nas redes sociais…).
O relatório está disponível para leitura online (exclusivo comunidade Iscte) no catálogo bibliográfico.
This report provides information on the habits of the Portuguese when it comes to using social networks, the networks they are most familiar with, the ones they use the most, the features they value the most, the frequency with which they access and publish information, as well as the amount of time they spend on them and the equipment they use to access them.
The study also delves into the relationship that the Portuguese have with the brands and companies present on these platforms (their motivations, interactions, opinion on the presence of brands on social networks...).

The work analyses the role of leadership in today's organisations, highlighting its direct impact on team performance, motivation and innovation. It brings together theoretical contributions, practical cases and empirical evidence that help to understand how leaders' behaviour influences individual and collective achievements.

A sessão inaugural foi dedicada à leitura e discussão do livro, Cândido, ou o Otimismo, de Voltaire
On September 30, the opening session of the Book Club for the 2025/2026 academic year took place. The event created a space for sharing readings, dialogue, and the discovery of new perspectives.
The inaugural session was dedicated to the reading and discussion of the book, Candide, or the Optimism, by Voltaire.
